Cook green chiles, garlic, and various seasonings for a spicy sauce that can be served as a dip or a topping for your favorite meal.
Ingredients
8.5 OZ / 240 G yellow onion
2 CLOVES garlic
3 TBSP vegetable oil
2 TBSP all-purpose flour
8 OZ / 225 G jalapeño chiles
4 OZ / 120 ML water
Directions
Peel and quarter the onion. Peel the garlic cloves. Add onion and garlic to mixing bowl. Chop for 5 seconds / speed 6. Use spatula to scrape down sides of the mixing bowl.
Add 2 tablespoons oil to mixing bowl. Remove the measuring cup and sauté for 5 minutes / 265°F|130°C.
Add flour to mixing bowl. Remove the measuring cup and sauté for 1 minute / 265°F|130°C.
Add green chiles and water to mixing bowl. Sauté for 15 minutes / 265°F|130°C.
Make sure the measuring cup is inserted, purée sauce for 20 seconds / speed 8. Season with salt to taste. Use spatula to scrape chile sauce into a medium bowl.
