Try to make this easy homemade mustard from mustard seeds and white vinegar. Have it as a condiment whenever you want it.
Ingredients
3 OZ / 80 G shallots
3 TBSP olive oil
2 CLOVES garlic
3.5 OZ / 100 G mustard seeds
1 TBSP turmeric
7 OZ / 200 ML white vinegar
1 TSP salt
2 OZ / 50 G sugar
3.5 OZ / 100 G water
Directions
Peel and halve the shallot, add it to the mixing bowl along with the peeled garlic. Chop for 8 seconds / speed 8. Use spatula to scrape down sides of mixing bowl.
Add olive oil. Remove the measuring cup and sauté for 5 minutes / 230°F|110°C.
Add the water, white vinegar, turmeric, mustard seeds, salt and sugar to the mixing bowl. Remove the measuring cup and cook for 40 minutes / 200°F|95°C / speed 1.
Lock the measuring cup and puree for 30 seconds / speed 9. Then season again with salt to taste.
Enjoy your mustard! You can store it for 3 months in the fridge.
