Baking bread can be a daunting task but this recipe is just so perfect if you are new to baking. It's amazing for making sandwich or an accompaniment to soups.
Ingredients
14 OZ / 400 G spelt flour
1 TSP salt
1 TSP dried yeast
1 TBSP honey
1 OZ / 30 G pumpkin seeds
1 OZ / 30 G sunflower seeds
1 OZ / 30 G sesame seeds
1 TBSP oil
1 EA egg yolk
1 TBSP milk
12.5 OZ / 350 ML warm water
Directions
Add flour, salt, yeast, honey, oil and warm water into mixing bowl. Make sure the measuring cup is inserted and knead for 2 minutes.
Add half the mixed seeds in the bowl and knead for 2 minutes.
Lightly grease a loaf tin then put the dough in.
Cover with a clean tea towel and allow the dough to rise in an evenly warm place for 1 hour.
Pre-heat the oven to 200°C or 350F.
Beat the egg yolk and milk then brush the upper surface of the dough. Sprinkle with the remaining seeds. Bake the bread for 40 minutes.
Remove the bread from the oven, allow to cool briefly in the tin, then turn it out of the tin and allow to cool completely.
