Try this homemade rye bread recipe that is perfect for grilled cheese, club sandwiches and more.
Directions
Add lukewarm milk, yoghurt, yeast and sugar to the mixing bowl.
Mix the ingredients on 30 seconds / speed 1.
Continue mixing ingredients with 28 seconds / speed 1.
Leave the mixture rise inside the bowl to activate the yeast on 10 minutes / 104°F|40°C / speed 1.
Add rye flour, plain flour and salt to the mixing bowl.
Start Knead mode for 1 minute 30 seconds.
Cover and set in warm place to let rise for 30 minutes, or until doubled in size.
Preheat the oven to 390F| 200C and bake the bread for 30 minutes.

Recipe Note
TIPS:
- To avoid the dough sticking to your fingers, grease your hands with oil before transferring the dough into another bowl.
- Your dough should be fairly sticky. If using thick yogurt, you may have to adjust the milk quantity.
