This super silky chocolate custard is an easy dessert since it requires no baking. It's delicious served with a velvet topping vanilla sauce.
Ingredients
3.5 OZ / 100 G dark chocolate
3.5 TBSP sugar
1 TSP vanilla sugar
28 OZ / 800 ML milk
2 OZ / 50 G cornstarch
1 EA egg yolk
1 EA egg
1 EA vanilla pod
Directions
Break the chocolate into pieces and put them in the mixing bowl. Add the sugar, vanilla sugar.
Make sure the measuring cup is inserted and process for 25 seconds / speed 10. Use the spatula to scrape the mixture down the inside of the mixing bowl.
Then insert the butterfly whisk. Add the milk, cornstarch and egg yolk in the mixing bowl and cook for 2 minutes / 212°F|100 °C / speed 2.
Pour the custard into several small dishes or one large dish.
Allow to cool in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.
Clean the mixing bowl.
Insert the butterfly whisk.
Cut the vanilla pods lengthways and scrape out the seeds.
Add the corn flour with 1.5 OZ cold milk and mix for 1 minute / speed 3.
Put the vanilla pulp, the remaining milk, sugar, egg and cornstarch mixture in the mixing bowl. Make sure the measuring cup is inserted and cook for 10 minutes / 212°F|100 °C / speed 3.
Allow to cool to room temperature then pour it over the chocolate.
Add to the refrigerator for 10 more minutes.
